- Assistant Director of Development
Description
The Assistant Director of Development is a strategic partner within the Development Department, contributing to departmental planning, innovation, and execution of fundraising initiatives that advance the mission of Holy Names High School (HNHS). This role supports annual and capital fundraising efforts through multi-channel campaign management, targeted donor communications, gift processing and acknowledgement, and serves as the department’s Raiser’s Edge database superuser. Working closely with the Executive Development Director, the Assistant Director plays a key role in ensuring operational excellence, data integrity, and donor stewardship while helping drive revenue growth in support of student scholarships and school programs. Together, this department raises $1.3M+ annually.

Partner with the Executive Development Director to plan annual fundraising strategy, revenue goals and performance metrics

Lead and execute established fundraising campaigns via social media and direct mail

Ensure timely and meaningful gift acknowledgements

Foster of culture of gratitude and uphold ethical fundraising standards, including adherence to the Donor Bill of Rights
- Serve as Blackbaud Raiser's Edge superuser, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and optimal system use.
Benefits for You:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, exempt position
- Salary range: $65,400 – $76,000, commensurate with experience and education

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management or business, communications, education, humanities, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of nonprofit development experience required; education or school-based fundraising experience preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities both collaboratively and independently.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with commitment to innovation and best practices.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or similar donor database preferred (training provided).
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms, social media, and basic design tools (e.g., Canva) preferred.
- Ability to adapt to change, ambiguity, and new opportunities with professionalism and composure.
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend events.
- Ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift and move) up to 20 pounds.
