Description
OverviewOak Hills Country Club is one of the premier private clubs in the Omaha metro area. The member-owned club is home to approximately 400 golfing members and 200 social members and supports a vibrant, highly engaged community.
Oak Hills hosts sold-out events year-round and welcomes more than 28,000 rounds of golf annually, reflecting the strength and enthusiasm of its membership. With a strong focus on family, friendship, and tradition, the club offers unmatched golf, tennis, swimming, dining, and social experiences for members of all ages.
Ideal Start Date: March 1st, 2026
Experience Required
- Strong working knowledge of the game of golf, including the Rules of Golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience using Golf Genius and the USGA GHIN Handicap System
- Maintains a credible golf game and remains current with teaching methods and instructional innovations
- Demonstrates strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional, and member-focused demeanor
- Class A PGA Professional or Associate in good standing with the PGA of America is preferred
- Private club experience preferred
- Experience with Junior Golf instruction and programming
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn, accept direction, and continue professional development
- Knowledge of golf merchandise, inventory management, and effective retail selling skills
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in all day-to-day golf operations regarding check-in, fee collection, and managing pace of play and opening and closing procedures.
- Assist with management of outside service to ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved
- Oversee member services, including club storage, pushcart storage, and USGA Handicap System
- Manage active men's and women's golf leagues, including scheduling, coordination, and member communication
- Assist with all tournament operations, including course setup, scoring, prize distribution, and the execution of corporate and fundraising events
- Assist the merchandiser with product displays and promotional activities to drive golf shop sales
- Assist the Director of Instruction with PGA Jr. League management to boost participation and member involvement with the program
- Co-Manage PGA Jr. League interclub team
- Oversee daily operations of re-gripping and golf club repair, ensuring quality service and timely turnaround
- Provide exceptional service to all members, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Maintain PGA of America membership in good standing in an active classification
