Description
Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, FP&A to join our Central Engineering Finance - FP&A team. This role will support the FP&A Manager in delivering core financial planning and analysis activities across the broader Engineering organization, including forecasting, performance reporting, and strategic business support. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with strong analytical skills and a passion for driving financial insights in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
The role will include but not limited to the following:
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of forecasting, annual planning, and performance reporting processes.
- Support the financial operating rhythm, including month-end close activities, variance analysis, and reporting packages.
- Conduct financial modelling and analysis to track business performance and outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance business partners, Controllers, and CIO Finance teams to ensure alignment and accuracy.
- Contribute to business analysis and insight generation, helping identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance forecasting and reporting efficiency.
- Participate in ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic projects as required.
- Support any other finance projects
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in FP&A, business finance, or financial analysis roles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems and ERPs.
- Solid understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting.
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work across global teams and time zones.
- Experience in a matrixed, global organization preferred.
- Exposure to technology or product-driven environments is a plus.
- Professional qualification (e.g., CA, CIMA, ACCA, MBA Finance) preferred but not mandatory.
- Power BI experience preferred.
- Time-zone overlap with global stakeholders and counterparts, as warranted.
