Description
Manny Rutinel for Congress seeks a talented, hard-working, and highly organized Campaign Manager for a competitive Democratic congressional race. The Campaign Manager is the central point of responsibility for campaign operations: ensuring that staff, consultants, volunteers, and departments are coordinated, deadlines are met, and the candidate is effectively supported. In partnership with consultants and advisors, the Campaign Manager will implement and manage the campaign plan, oversee daily execution, and hold all parts of the campaign accountable. This position is full-time through June 2026 (primary election), with the possibility of continuing through November 2026 (general election) if the primary is won.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Central Operations Management
- Serve as the hub of the campaign, coordinating all departments (finance, communications, field, compliance, scheduling).
- Oversee daily workflow, systems, and logistics to keep the campaign running smoothly.
- Track progress across teams, troubleshoot, and enforce accountability for deliverables and deadlines.
- Manage the candidate’s schedule, travel, and staffing.
Staff & Consultants
- Recruit, train, and manage campaign staff, fellows, and volunteers.
- Work with consultants and vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliverables.
- Maintain clear communication channels across the campaign team.
Budget & Finance Oversight
- Oversee campaign budget and cashflow.
- Work with the finance team to support fundraising operations and candidate call time.
- Coordinate with compliance staff to ensure accurate FEC reporting.
Political Outreach & Communications Support
- Coordinate political outreach and stakeholder engagement.
- Support execution of communications and media plans developed with consultants.
- Ensure candidate preparation for events, interviews, and debates.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 2 campaign cycles of experience in field, finance, communications, or operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff, consultants, and volunteers.
- Strong organizational and operational management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with NGP VAN/Votebuilder and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to relocate to CO-08 and work long, irregular hours.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience on a congressional or other top-tier campaign, especially in a management role.
- Experience managing multi-department operations and campaign budgets.
- Familiarity with Colorado politics or communities.
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Strong ties to diverse communities within CO-08.
