Job Summary
The Campaign Manager will lead the day-to-day execution of Dan Norton for NYS Assembly’s (AD123) campaign plan, translating strategy into measurable programs across field, fundraising, communications, and operations. The ideal employee is ambitious, disciplined, and highly organized.
The Campaign Manager will:
- Develop and oversee the Campaign’s strategic plan, including timelines, benchmarks, and readiness assessments.
Organize, facilitate, and participate in campaign planning meetings to ensure alignment across campaign operations, finance, communications, and field functions. - Create, implement, and maintain internal operating systems and workflows to support the continued growth, efficiency, and long-term success of the Campaign.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements for campaign staff, independent contractors, consultants, and vendors, in coordination with the candidate and campaign team.
- Oversee and facilitate the hiring process for, and training of, Campaign staff, ensuring work is conducted within established campaign operating systems, designated due dates, and strategic priorities.
- Onboard, supervise, and manage the Campaign’s internship program.
- Oversee the Campaign’s volunteer outreach plan and supporting tools and programs to ensure effective engagement and coordination.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community members, political party leaders, labor unions, advocacy organizations, and relevant governmental and regulatory entities, including New York State Board of Elections personnel.
- Develop and implement an outreach plan for community events and public engagements to support campaign visibility and relationship-building.
Assist with scheduling, coordination, and logistical planning related to stakeholder meetings, community events, and external engagements - Develop and deliver budget analysis and ensure financial readiness for the upcoming campaign cycle.
Certify the Campaign with the New York State Public Campaign Finance Board (PCFB) and ensure ongoing compliance with all program requirements. - Develop and implement a fundraising plan, including donor targeting, management and scheduling of the Candidate’s call time, and planning and execution of fundraising events.
- Ensure the Campaign meets and maintains all threshold requirements for enrollment in the PCFB 2026 Matching Funds Program.
- Develop campaign messaging and narrative strategy, including platform development, talking points, and required outreach materials.
- Identify and assist hired contractors to develop campaign branding, design assets, and promotional materials, in coordination with campaign leadership.
- Review, edit, and maintain the Campaign’s website, social media presence, text messaging programs, and mass email communications
- Organize and manage the Campaign’s endorsement process, including tracking deadlines, coordinating outreach, and reviewing and submitting endorsement questionnaires with the Candidate.
- Prepare the Campaign for the petitioning process

- Strong understanding of the field, operations, communications, and budgeting/financial reporting
- Exceptional communication skills with sound judgment and the ability to manage complex interpersonal dynamics
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Preferred knowledge of NGP VAN, Mobilize, ActBlue, Scale to Win, Numero, and Google Suite
- Ability to work a flexible/non-traditional schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle preferred
- Must be located in the Southern Tier area or able to relocate
