- Campaign Manager
Description
The Campaign Manager will design and execute a comprehensive campaign plan to elect Antoine M. Thompson, Maryland House of Delegates, District 25. This role oversees fundraising, field operations, communications, and data management while serving as the primary advisor to the candidate.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Management
Plan Development: Draft and implement the "Winning Plan" including voter contact goals, fundraising targets, and media milestones.
Budget Oversight: Manage the campaign’s cash flow and allocate resources to high-impact areas (e.g., prioritizing "walk lists" over expensive TV ads if the budget is tight). Manage steering committee, consulting contracts, and other committees of the campaign.
Staffing: Hire and manage a team of organizers, digital leads, and volunteers.
2. Fundraising & Compliance
Finance Plan: Oversee call time, house parties, and small-dollar digital fundraising programs.
MD Campaign Finance: Ensure strict adherence to Maryland State Board of Elections (SBOE) regulations, including reporting deadlines and contribution limits.
3. Progressive Field & Organizing
Voter Contact: Manage the use of VAN (Votebuilder) to target key precincts.
Coalition Building: Act as the liaison to Maryland labor unions (e.g., SEIU, AFSCME), Progressive Maryland, climate groups, and local activist organizations.
GOTV: Lead the "Get Out The Vote" operation, particularly focusing on expanding turnout in historically underrepresented Maryland communities.
4. Communications & Messaging
Narrative Control: Ensure the candidate’s message on public health, safety, and labor protections remains consistent across all platforms.
Press Relations: Handle local media inquiries and Harris Branding and Media firm.
Required Qualifications
Experience: At least 1–2 cycles of campaign experience (State Delegate or Senate races preferred).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in VAN/Votebuilder, Scale to Win, or Action Network.
Regional Knowledge: Deep understanding of Maryland’s political geography (e.g., the nuances Prince George’s County).
