Job DescriptionAs an Outbound Sales Support Specialist, you'll play a critical role in driving revenue growth-not just by supporting the sales team, but by owning the sales cycle end-to-end. This is primarily a quota-carrying role focused on closing deals. While some lead generation and support activities are involved, the core expectation is full-cycle sales ownership-from prospecting and pitching to negotiating and closing.
You'll be directly responsible for hitting revenue targets and driving conversions, while also supporting the pipeline through strategic outreach and administrative coordination. You'll assist the sales team in identifying leads, initiating contact with potential clients, and nurturing relationships throughout the sales cycle.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make outbound calls and send emails to introduce services to potential clients
- Qualify leads and collect key information to support sales efforts
- Keep CRM systems updated with accurate customer data and activity logs
- Monitor and report outreach metrics (calls, leads, conversions)
- Handle initial objections and pass qualified prospects to senior sales staff
- Support proposal creation and follow-ups to keep deals moving
- Assist the sales team by managing routine admin tasks
- Prepare change orders for operations and finance teams
- Organize and retrieve sales documents like contracts
- Maintain internal databases with up-to-date account info
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth pre- and post-sales service
- Gain exposure to more complex sales support tasks over time
- Report directly to a manager
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Experience:
- Typically requires 0 to 2 years of related experience
- May require a bachelor's degree
Computer/Technical:
- Preferred experience using and managing Salesforce entries
- Proficient in basic applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.
- Demonstrate ability to learn and understand various computer systems.
Other Skills:
- Must have the ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Accurate data entry skills
- Problem solving ability
- Excellent organization and follow up skills.
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Ability to work both individually and as a member of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal office environment.
Extending viewing of computer screens.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Spends time at a computer workstation and desk
- Moves throughout department or other locations to access or exchange information
- May involve carrying loads up to 50 lbs. and being able to remain in a stationary position
- May involve lowering oneself to file, and reaching, twisting or turning
- Involves handling office materials, typing, writing and other tasks that require manual dexterity
- Continuous listening
- Ability to communicate information
