PeaceHealth is seeking a Chief Philanthropy Officer in Vancouver, WA
PeaceHealth is seeking an accomplished Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) to lead philanthropic strategy and growth for PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center (Vancouver, WA) and PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center (Longview, WA). In this senior leadership role, you will drive major gift fundraising, oversee capital campaigns, and guide a high performing philanthropy team supporting two of PeaceHealth’s most impactful regional ministries. Reporting to the System VP, Chief Philanthropy Officer, you will build strong relationships with senior executives, clinicians, foundation board members, and community partners to advance key priorities and inspire transformational giving. The ideal candidate brings proven success in major gifts, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement within complex organizations. You will champion operational excellence and foster a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides overall leadership and coordination of philanthropy activities across the network, galvanizing support from executives, board members, clinical leaders, and caregivers.
Implements goals and objectives and tracks metrics for fundraising at the network level.
Builds and maintains a strong, collaborative relationship with the foundation board, the administration and the clinician executives across the network, collaboratively building a culture of philanthropy while ensuring the advancement of a single strategic framework.
Provides overall direction and management of foundation caregivers that will result in the achievement of annual revenue and expenditure goals in the area of major gifts.
Assists the Board in developing, engaging and stewarding highly qualified members.
Carries a portfolio of approximately 50 major gift prospects/donors ($250 k and above).
Develops, manages and maintains system-wide annual solicitations for caregivers, donor acquisition strategies, top donor/investor programs as well as in-hospital stewardship programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Master's Degree preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 10 years of fundraising experience, much of it leading a diverse professional staff, including management of all aspects of principal, major, and planned giving fundraising programs.
Extensive experience working in partnership with foundation boards.
Proven record of successfully increasing a fundraising organization’s performance, including execution of successful capital campaigns. This includes personal success at cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of principal gift prospects and donors.
