PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Junior Achievement of Dallas seeks a dynamic and results-oriented Development Manager to support the organization’s fundraising goals through corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and donor relationship management.
This position plays a key role in cultivating, securing, and stewarding funding that fuels JA Dallas programs — empowering students to own their economic success through financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship.
The ideal candidate is a strategic relationship builder with strong communication skills, thrives in a collaborative team environment, and can manage multiple projects with professionalism and initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Corporate and Campaign Fundraising
Manage a portfolio of corporate partners, overseeing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to renew and grow support.
Develop customized proposals and sponsorship packages that align partner interests with JA Dallas programs and events.
Collaborate with internal teams (Programs, Marketing, Events) to deliver high-quality sponsor recognition and fulfillment.
Track progress toward fundraising goals and maintain accurate records in the donor database.
2. Relationship Management and Stewardship
Strengthen relationships with existing funders while identifying new engagement opportunities across the JA Dallas footprint.
Coordinate and lead partner engagement activities, such as volunteer events, JA Finance Park site visits, or program tours.
Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing timely updates, impact reports, and stewardship touchpoints.
Partner with board members and leadership volunteers to leverage networks and connections for organizational growth.
3. New and Emerging Partnerships
Support new business efforts as part of the broader development strategy — including outreach to companies not currently engaged with JA Dallas.
Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer and other managers to identify emerging sectors or companies aligned with JA’s mission.
Participate in brainstorming and execution of creative campaigns and initiatives to attract and retain corporate support.
4. Grants and Institutional Support
Assist with proposal writing, reporting, and data collection for corporate foundation grants as needed.
Work cross-functionally to ensure donor deliverables and metrics are met.
5. Internal Collaboration
Work closely with the Development team to meet annual revenue goals across events, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships.
Provide exceptional customer service to corporate volunteers and sponsors.
Contribute to the planning and execution of special events, campaigns, and stewardship activities.
