Compensation Range
The base pay scale for this position is $82,500.00 - $126,000.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
What you will be doing
Title: Manager, Digital Fundraising Platform
Reports To: Associate Director, Digital Fundraising
Primary Function/Purpose:
The Manager, Digital Fundraising Platform will play a pivotal role in supporting the digital fundraising efforts of the Hospital for Special Surgery Development team. This role focuses on leveraging data and technology to enhance and execute digital fundraising initiatives. Partnering with BIKE HSS, Annual Giving, and Special Events the Manager will advise on and implement the technical and data elements required to support these initiatives through Luminate Online and TeamRaiser (LO/TR).
The ideal candidate has a strong background in responsive website development, with expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or jQuery, and preferably experience with LO/TR or a similar constituent engagement platform. They will be responsible for managing and utilizing LO/TR to develop data-driven strategies, execute campaigns, and produce actionable reports. This role requires someone who is self-motivated, adept at collaborating across teams, and skilled at juggling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. The successful candidate will also be a strategic thinker, capable of generating ideas, establishing plans, and following them through to completion.
As the department’s digital presence grows, the Manager will take the lead in recommending and implementing strategies related to web design, UI/UX, and project management for digital fundraising initiatives. This position is remote; however will be required to be onsite at the New York City office 3-4 times per year for in-person meetings and team activities as scheduled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage with external vendors as needed on the setup, build out, and design of digital communications in LO/TR, ensuring timelines and objectives are met in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Serve as the key technical resource for LO/TR, providing guidance on best practices to enhance fundraising performance. Ability to deliver optimized, branded, and accessible digital communications and sites.
- Optimize the user interface and design for digital campaigns, ensuring a high-quality user experience and high conversion rate. Determine best methodologies for HSS by conducting and documenting A/B testing for specific campaigns.
- Manage lists requests and collaborate on selection criteria for digital communications with thorough understanding of target audiences, segmentations, and suppressions.
- Manage organization of digital assets in LO/TR
- Provide campaign performance reports and analysis to inform data-driven strategy adjustments and optimize future campaigns. Coordinate with the Development Operations team on technical and data elements required to support digital fundraising initiatives through LO/TR.
- Actively support the data integrity of LO/TR and understand the data processing between RENXT and LO/TR.
- Leverage knowledge of emerging digital trends related to email, digital fundraising, and web development.
- Perform additional related duties as requested.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced skill and experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or jQuery and web design principles with cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with LO/TR or similar constituent engagement-online giving-P2P platform.
- Experience with CRM systems, data management, and segmentation strategies.
- Testing and optimization experience and knowledge of digital fundraising best practices.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design, A/B testing, and digital campaign optimization.
Competencies and Personal Characteristics:
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines and experience with cross-departmental collaboration and organization.
- Understanding of brand and voice of HSS and ability to ensure quality control of messaging, formatting and execution with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work across departments and with external vendors.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in digital fundraising or similar role.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $90,000 -$110,000 annually.
