The Opportunity: Financial Controller
We are seeking an experienced and highly-motivated Financial Controller to join our growing team. This pivotal, forward-looking role will be central to our strategic decision-making, particularly concerning growth and capital raising. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all future financial details for the business, ensuring robust financial planning, and driving consistency in our corporate metrics.
Key Responsibilities
● Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead the creation and maintenance of detailed cash flow forecasts. Develop comprehensive growth and scenario modelling to support strategic initiatives. Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process.
● Metric Management: Manage and report on key Software as a Service (SaaS) metrics (e.g., ARR, MRR, Churn, LTV/CAC) as well as supporting the integration of KPI measurement across the business, providing actionable insights to the leadership team and serving as the champion for a consistent metric system across all business units.
● Capital Raising Support: Provide valuable support in all capital raising and grant application processes, including preparation of due diligence materials, financial projections, and investor-facing documents. Act as a key liaison with external advisors and investors during fundraising rounds.
Required Qualifications and Experience
● Professional Qualification: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
● Post-Qualification Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a scale-up/high growth business.
● Financial Expertise:
○ Proven track record in advanced financial modelling, specifically in cash flow forecasting, growth modelling, and scenario analysis.
○ Demonstrable understanding of core SaaS metrics.
○ Prior experience working at a top 10 accounting firm is highly desirable.
● Technology & Communication: Demonstrable use of technology to automate and streamline processes, alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Salary is £80k - £90k, plus benefits and share options. Our working arrangements are remote first , requiring you to be in our London office 1-2 days per week.
