Summary of Position:
The Forensic Services Manager is responsible for the coordination, daily operations, and supervision of forensic service functions at the CARE Center, including the supervision of staff involved in forensic interviews, MDT Coordination, and medical operations. This position manages all incoming referrals for the child victim’s visit to the CARE Center, including communication prior to and after the visit with the designated investigator, and case tracking for case review purposes. The Forensic Services Manager supervises partner engagement and response to cases occurring at the Center and ensures adherence to best practices and standards in forensic interviewing. The Forensic Services Manager reports directly to the Chief Programs Officer and works collaboratively with leadership to support the CARE Center’s mission and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
Essential Job Functions:
Supervise, train, and set goals for the Forensic Services team, MDT Coordinator, and the Medical Coordinator.
Ensure all clients and partners receive professional, efficient service throughout their visit.
Coordinate communication and follow-up for the duration of each case, ensuring accurate documentation and timely responses.
Coordinate partnerships and communication with outside agencies and multidisciplinary team (MDT) members.
Ensure all forensic interviews are conducted by appropriately trained personnel and adhere to best practices.
Oversee the preparation of all cases and information for weekly case reviews with the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office and the MDT.
Maintain positive relationships with partner agencies and department leads involved in child abuse investigations.
Collaborate with partners and staff to resolve case-related issues using established office policies and procedures.
Schedule quarterly peer reviews and trainings for all FI staff on new research or best practices related to forensic interviewing.
Maintain a working knowledge of all NCA Standards and task force protocols.
Continuously assess and evaluate compliance with NCA standards in program services.
Regularly evaluate program effectiveness, identify program development opportunities, and implement improvements.
Maintain confidential and organized records of all cases and ensure proper use of NCAtrak and monthly logs.
Support agency fundraising and outreach efforts.
Manage and participate in the on-call system for cases, including maintaining the emergency on-call calendar for staff.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong managerial and leadership skills with at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
Experience working in a trauma-informed environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to motivate and direct others through clear communication, professional modeling, and high performance standards.
Strong time management and multitasking skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
Knowledge and Education Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in a social services or related field is required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a non-profit or criminal justice field, preferably with experience in forensic interviewing or child protection.
Working knowledge of law enforcement and child welfare systems.
Must pass a nationwide background check.
