Job Summary
  • LCT is looking for support with Development Operations for the 2025-2026 season (October-May).
  • The Development Operations Work Study will report to the Development Director and provide vital support to the LCT's fundraising and development efforts. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit management, fundraising operations, and donor stewardship. The Development Work Study will assist with day-to-day development operations, donor database management, gift processing, research, and special projects, contributing directly to the success of the organization's mission.
  • Primary duties associated with the internship would include, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Enter, update, and maintain accurate donor and gift records in the donor database (Ludus).
  • Assist in generating acknowledgment letters and tax receipts in a timely manner.
  • Support data cleanup projects to ensure integrity and accuracy of records.
  • Help track pledge payments, matching gifts, and recurring donations.
  • Work with the Development Director on creating mailings for appeals, newsletters, and special campaigns.
  • Support the creation of donor recognition lists and materials for publications, programs, or websites.
  • Provide administrative support for fundraising events, including invitation tracking, guest list management, and onsite event logistics.
  • Assist in preparing materials for board meetings, campaign updates, and donor briefings.
Other:
  • Students must be available to work 10-15 hours during regular office hours. A set schedule of hours worked is preferred, for example, three hours every Monday afternoon. LCT's Development Director will work with candidates to create a schedule that aligns with your schedule.
  • Although it is not required, owning and bringing a laptop is a major help as available computers can be at a premium.
  • Student must have reliable transportation to and from theatre.
  • The right candidate will have:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfort with data entry, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and willingness to learn about donor database systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Interest in nonprofit management, fundraising, or philanthropy preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
