Position Overview
The Manager of Communications and Outreach is responsible for honestly’s strategic communications and outreach efforts ensuring consistent, values-driven messaging across all audiences, platforms, and partnerships. This position is responsible for planning and implementing communication strategies and outreach opportunities. Guided by the Forward Together strategic plan, this role stewards both internal and external communication levers that strengthen alignment, trust, and collective impact within honestly and across our community and Collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain honestly’s communications across email, website, newsletters, and social platforms.
- Create inclusive and compelling content including social posts, stories, reels, graphics, print materials, and digital resources.
- Manage honestly’s brand voice and ensure messaging is clear, accessible, and aligned with our mission.
- Support campaigns, program updates, event promotion, and fundraising storytelling.
- Coordinate and participate in outreach efforts, including community events, tabling, trainings, and partnership engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with partner organizations, community members, and collaborative networks to expand awareness and trust.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, public relations, business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing communication or outreach strategies in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience creating published or public-facing materials across multiple platforms.
- Knowledge of health education and collective impact principles preferred.
- Experience (professionally or academically) with Communities of Color and/or 2SLGBT+ Communities.
- Experience developing initiatives and projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience working with government agencies and community partners.
