Description
We're looking for a hard-working Risk and Controls Senior Associate to join the Group Procurement team. The role will be responsible for ensuring that Group Procurement is operating in line to the required frameworks and focused around:Developing and keeping controls to the control framework standard and any associated documentation.
Ensuring the Group Procurement function adheres to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework covering self-identified issues, emerging risk awareness and scenario testing.
Increasing the maturity of the function with the support of the wider Risk team.
Initial point of contact for 2LoD, 3LoD and external auditors.
Internal client engagement ensuring effective management and queries are taken care of within a timely period.
Reporting against risk management processes and progress, supporting the creation of relevant documentation.
Ensure processes align to regulatory, legislative, and internal policy requirements.
Essential skills:
Strong background in risk management or audit with 5-8 years experience and track record of quick learning, handling cross geography relationships, dealing with stakeholders from different levels.
The candidate would have the ability to re-prioritise, show initiative and take a pragmatic approach depending on the risk task that is being faced.
Comfortable presenting and articulating sometimes complex processes, risks and controls to a variety of non-technical stakeholders and a good understanding of enterprise risk management.
Instinct to investigate issues, propose solutions and drive continuous improvements are important!
We appreciate strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills and proven ability to implement regulatory, legislative and policy procedures within a function.
Preferred skills:
- Experience with Oracle Fusion.
- Off-payroll working rules legislation (IR35) knowledge.
- Prior experience using GRC tools (e.g. MetricStream).
- Application of enterprise risk management within a Procurement function.
- P2P process understanding.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, or other analytics platforms .
