A leading global mid-market private equity firm is seeking to hire a Senior Compliance Officer to join its London office. The firm invests internationally across a diverse range of industries and has experienced significant growth in recent years, both in headcount and assets under management. It continues to perform strongly in the market and is currently preparing for a new fund-raise.
As the Senior Compliance Officer, you will take on a broad and varied generalist compliance remit, gaining exposure to both UK and US regulatory matters. On the day to day, you will work closely with the firm's Global Head of Compliance, whilst also collaborating extensively with the firm's wider investment and corporate teams. As this is a newly created position, the role offers significant autonomy and the chance to shape and develop the position as you see fit. What the job involves
- Support on meeting FCA and SEC regulatory obligations
- Contribute to the firm's fund raising and marketing efforts from a compliance perspective
- Draft and review compliance policies and procedures
- Monitor regulatory developments in both the UK and US
- Lead the design and implementation of the firm's compliance monitoring programme
- Conduct AML and KYC reviews across the transaction and portfolio
- Work closely with the IR team on regulatory inquiries
- Previous experience working within the Private Equity or boutique investment management space
- Familiar with FCA and SEC regulations
- Confident in drafting policies and reviewing legal / regulatory documentation
- Experience working in a generalist compliance position
- Comfortable liaising and working closely with multiple internal senior stakeholders
