Job Summary
Ursuline Academy, an independent Catholic school dedicated to the education of young women in grades 7-12, is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Senior Director of Engagement and Leadership Giving to join our Advancement team. This is a senior-level opportunity for a mission-aligned professional with experience in constituent engagement, alumnae relations, and annual giving, ideally within an educational setting. About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Advancement Officer, the Senior Director of Engagement and Leadership Giving plays a central role in developing and executing strategies that strengthen community relationships and drive philanthropic support. In collaboration with a dynamic team, this position will shape and lead efforts that deepen engagement across constituencies and support a robust annual giving program. The Senior Director will also manage a portfolio of leadership-level prospects and donors, directly contributing to the school’s fundraising success.
What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic leadership for engagement and annual giving initiatives in support of the school’s broader advancement and campaign goals
- Collaborate with the Director of Alumnae Engagement to design programs and volunteer opportunities that promote meaningful, lasting connections with Ursuline alumnae
- Partner with the Director of Annual Giving to execute an integrated annual giving strategy, including targeted appeals, giving days, and volunteer outreach.
- Work with the Director of Special Events and Community Engagement to create inclusive and mission-centered events that foster enthusiasm and support among all constituents
- Manage a portfolio of leadership prospects, focusing on discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of five- and six-figure gifts
- Supervise and mentor team members, promoting collaboration, accountability, and a results-oriented, mission-driven culture
- Perform other related duties to support the goals of the Advancement Office and the school as needed

Requirements
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in advancement or development, with a preference for experience in education
- Demonstrated success in annual giving, alumnae relations, and constituent engagement
- Experience managing and soliciting leadership-level prospects and donors
- Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, team-focused management style
- Ability to use data to inform strategy and measure outcomes
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Deep commitment to the mission and values of Ursuline Academy
- Dedication to a workplace where diverse perspectives are valued and integrated into decision-making
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents, including students, parents, alumnae, faculty, staff, and volunteers
