Description
Role profile:We are seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Senior Analyst to join the Sustainable Index Research and Design team at FTSE Russell, a fully owned subsidiary of London Stock Exchange Group. The role reports directly to the Head of Sustainable Index Research and Design. The Sustainable Index Research & Design team are responsible for the development, design and research of sustainable indices and index related materials. The team work closely with both internal front and back-office departments and FTSE Russell's partners and key clients, including major asset owners, fund managers and investment banks in the creation of new index products. This involves the use of fundamental and quantitative techniques to design and provide index solutions and analysis across all asset classes.
ROLE SUMMARY:
- This Senior Analyst will play a role in the ideation, innovation, and design of our sustainable indices, as well as delivering the index product strategy, associated research and client engagement
- This position will be responsible for specific indices within our current product range and development of new indices, working with product managers, data leads, sales and other stakeholders in the APAC region and globally to deliver on the sustainable strategy
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent quantitative and programming skills, an understanding of index methodologies and the needs of our global clients, and a passion for driving positive impact through investment solutions
- Index research and design: building and enhancing sustainable indices for flagship standard product and custom client products, including portfolio simulation and construction approaches and risk and performance attribution
- Index analysis and reporting: Support our clients with index related reporting and analysis
- Thought Leadership & marketing: Contribute to the company's thought leadership, marketing and client engagement by producing research papers, analysis and presentations. Support clients and distribution teams with in-depth knowledge and training.
We are seeking an experienced, committed and enthusiastic individual with proven experience in climate index investment.
- Quantitative and analytical skills: Knowledge of quantitative investment portfolio techniques, including portfolio simulation and construction approaches and risk and performance attribution
- Programming Skills: Experience in Python and SQL
- Sustainable data skills: Experience with sustainable investment datasets, dataset providers, their particularities, as well as applicability to index construction
- Project management skills: Working to deadlines, coordinating across multiple teams to deliver complex research and builds (from idea conception to benchmark creation) with high degree of accuracy.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients and stakeholders, with strong written skills.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate and build sound relationships with cross-functional teams.
