AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

The role you'll contribute:
The Development Sr Specialist plans and carries out Identify, Engage and Cultivation activities, so as to maintain and develop the donation of funds and gifts for AdventHealth (AH) programs. The position focuses on hospital visits, initial telephone calls to secure appointments, and Identify and "Engage Stage Core Process" prospect meetings. This position prepares moves plans and coordinates Cultivation and Solicitation Stage activities for gifts. This will be in accordance with specified annual fundraising goals set forth by the AH Foundation. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

- Ensures compliance with legal and ethical standards in fundraising practices.
- Provides regular updates and reports to senior management on major gift activities and outcomes.
- Tracks and reports on donor interactions and progress using donor management systems.
- Prepares and manages proposals and documentation for major gift solicitations.
- Collaborates with internal teams and stakeholders to align donor interests with organizational priorities.
- Coordinates and attends meetings, events, and visits with donors to strengthen relationships.
- Identifies potential major gift donors through research and data analysis.
- Engages potential donors by initiating contact and building relationships.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :
Bachelor's Required
Hospital development or philanthropic experience preferred
