Job Title: Venture Capital Associate - Crypto, Digital Assets, Blockchain & Web3Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
Seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Venture Capital Associate to join the investment team. This individual will play a critical role in sourcing, evaluating, and supporting early-stage investments in the rapidly evolving crypto and Web3 ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Sourcing & Evaluation
- Identify and evaluate early-stage investment opportunities in blockchain, crypto, DeFi, NFTs, and Web3 infrastructure.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and due diligence on potential investments.
- Build and maintain relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, and other investors in the ecosystem.
- Investment Process
- Support the end-to-end investment process, including financial modeling, valuation, and investment memo preparation.
- Participate in investment committee discussions and present findings and recommendations.
- Portfolio Support
- Work closely with portfolio companies to provide strategic guidance, support fundraising efforts, and help with business development.
- Monitor portfolio performance and assist in reporting to limited partners.
- Thought Leadership & Ecosystem Engagement
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and meetups.
- Contribute to the firm's content strategy through blogs, research reports, and social media on trends in crypto and Web3.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, or a startup environment.
- Deep understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, DeFi, NFTs, and Web3 trends.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Passion for emerging technologies and a strong network in the crypto/Web3 space is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
