POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Organizational Analytics is responsible for supporting and executing the management of data analytics across the Metro United Way, with a focus on operational support and the opportunity to grow into more advanced analytical work. The Manager will organize the processes and technology needed to address the current and future analytics needs of the organization. The Manager will help operationalize the application of data and information to inform decisions and optimize performance.
This is a cross-functional position that will be housed in the Executive Office with major support for the Impact and Development teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Organizational Support
Create dashboards, data visualizations, and reports to guide decision making
Manage and streamline organization-wide data collection, maintenance, and reporting processes
Provide organization-wide support and troubleshooting for database functions
Development Support
Analyze donor data to identify actionable insights that inform fundraising strategy
Serve as CRM expert and work collaboratively with the Development Team to create practical solutions to data workflows, consult on team data needs, and maintain consistent reporting
Provide operational and data processing support for fundraising functions
Assist with Development goal setting, creation of dashboards, and KPIs; help maintain accurate, clean data
Impact and Policy Support
Conduct research and analysis of internal and external data to identify relevant insights and opportunities for advancing our work
Create reports, dashboards, and other data products that make data and analysis accessible to a wide audience
Integrate a variety of information sources to analyze and track progress on community conditions within Metro United Way’s seven-county service area

Perform other duties as assigned / approved by supervising staff
Requirements
Education / Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science or related field required
Two years of experience in data analytics, computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be personally committed to advancing MUW’s values, mission, goals, and strategies
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required; experience with CRM software, databases, and SQL preferred
Experience with computer programming for data analysis (R, Python, SQL) or strong desire to learn
An interest in using AI appropriately for data work, or a willingness to learn where it fits
Ability to understand data administration and management functions (collection, integration, analysis, reporting, etc.)
Experience in acquiring data from primary and secondary data sources
An analytical, problem-solving mindset and a creative, persistent approach to finding answers
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines
The ability to learn new systems quickly and see how different data sources connect
Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, synthesize, and present complex information effectively
Ability to use sound judgment, sensitivity, and discretion in handling confidential information and situations
Demonstrated proficiency in usage of electronic research tools and techniques.
Demonstrated proficiency in learning new information systems and identifying opportunities to integrate data from other information sources

Ability to tactfully handle stressful situations, negotiate and resolve conflicts, maintain confidentiality and respect and observe organizational protocol
This position may require occasional evening or weekend work during busier periods
