Description

Are you passionate about utilizing your event planning, project management, and fundraising expertise in a dynamic and adaptable work environment where you can contribute to meaningful income development initiatives with our nonprofit partners from across the nation?

Founded in 2005, STUDIO 4Forty is a national leader in nonprofit strategic planning and signature event fundraising. Our award-winning event concepts, Wine Women & Shoes® and Farm to Table(aux)®, and custom event solution, E-ventful, have raised more than $130 million (net) for over 250 nonprofit organizations across the U.S. and Canada.

The Project Manager will join a seasoned team of fundraising professionals at STUDIO 4Forty and will be responsible for supporting our growing national fundraising consulting and event company, while managing event project scopes with our nonprofit partners. Event project managers coach, lead, and guide our partner’s teams through planning and execution of our award-winning signature fundraising events, utilizing best practices built over the last two decades of service to our nonprofit partners. The Project Manager will work alongside our seasoned project management team and will report to the Vice President of Project Management.

Candidates must be willing to travel for two-night stays regularly throughout each event season, be experienced with fundraising event best practices, possess superior communication and time management skills, have confidence in managing external partnerships, and be able to execute multiple projects in a fun, fast-paced remote work environment. Additionally, the position will uphold the core values and culture of STUDIO 4Forty, which include integrity, honesty, fairness, service, commitment, kindness, generosity, and positive community impact.

The ideal candidate is a motivated and proactive self-starter who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and can process, react to, and solve problems as they arise. While Project Management functions in a team environment, this position is remote daily with seasonal event travel.

Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead regular progress coaching calls for all nonprofit partners as they plan, organize, and execute their annual fundraising event. These events may include one of our signature events, Wine Women & Shoes® or Farm to Table(aux)®, or a custom event under our consulting arm, E-ventful
  • Coordinate beneficial connections for each nonprofit partner that will further their fundraising goals through partnerships such as auction consignment companies, event software companies, auctioneers, etc.
  • Coach each nonprofit partner on the best practices of fundraising, donor stewardship, the art of the ask, securing sponsorships, ticket sales, auction sales, and all additional revenue activations pertaining to their fundraising event and post-event stewardship
  • Assess each nonprofit’s individual needs on regular calls and guide them to meet their goals
  • Meet tight deadlines as an individual contributor within a team
  • Travel to signature events to provide onsite support for set up, event execution, and tear down. Often requires extended hours and physical effort
  • Ability and willingness to perform as auctioneer for onstage revenue activations, including live auctions and live asks from stage

Requirements

Project Manager Requirements & Skills

  • 5+ years of advanced nonprofit event-based fundraising experience
  • Hold the CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) designation or obtain it within one calendar year of employment
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills with both STUDIO 4Forty team and external partners
  • Ability to lead and motivate colleagues, partners, and volunteers
  • Comfortable with public speaking and open to quick training as an auctioneer
  • Thrive in intense, high-stakes environments
  • Ability to balance multiple shifting priorities
  • Comfortable managing different communication styles and preferences to collaborate with a wide variety of partners and nonprofit missions
  • Exemplary attention to detail, ensuring precision in every aspect of project management, and communication for seamless execution of event pre-planning and onsite execution

To be considered, please send a cover letter, and resume outlining your successes in event-based fundraising to opportunities@studio4forty.com. In the subject line of your email, please include “Full Name - Project Manager.”
