Company Profile
Communities In Schools of Greater Tarrant County
Company Overview
Communities In Schools of Greater Tarrant County is a local affiliate of the national CIS network, brought to Tarrant County in 1992. We partner with local schools to place qualified, caring adults on to school campuses full-time, to provide wraparound services for students who need support. We currently partner with 10 regional school districts in a four-county area, with CIS professionals serving 80 campuses.
At CIS of Greater Tarrant County, we support local students in grades Pre-K through 12th, providing case management services by licensed social workers and mental health counseling by our clinical team. By providing supportive services directly inside schools, we ensure students and their families are connected with resources they need to overcome a wide range of barriers that could impede student success.
Consistently each year, students enrolled in the CIS program improve in academics, behavior, and attendance. Last year, 98% of high school seniors served by CIS graduated and 99% of CIS students remained in school.
